4K RANCH BEEF THE REAL BRAND Montana Grass Fed Beef
The Basics What is the difference between ORGANIC and GRASS FED? All beef starts out grass fed for the first 6-12 months. MOST ranchers send their beef to the feedlot for the last 6 months to "finish" them. This is simply fattening done with junk food for cows: grains, stale candy and a lot of things you would rather not know about. It doesn't matter whether the feed is "organic" or not. Junk food is junk food. Junk food does to cows the same thing it does to us. The thick layers of WHITE fat are an indication they are not healthy. Grass fed, AND finished animals have slightly yellow fat like rich butter that is full of beta carotene and is GOOD for you! Many people have gotten the idea that all fat is bad and they should eat as little as possible. Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids are not only good for you, they play a vital role in every cell and system in your body In recent years, scientists have also discovered a new fatty acid, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). This amazing nutrient is present ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY in ruminant (grass fed) animals and their products such as milk and cheese.
